At Behavioral Health Direct, we understand that the cost of therapy is an important consideration, and we’re committed to offering transparent pricing and flexible payment options. While we do not accept insurance, many of our clients use their out-of-network benefits to make therapy more affordable. Our private pay model gives you the freedom to choose a therapist with a higher standard of care who meets your needs best, and who is available and communicative when you need it most. We value the strong relationships we create with our clients and look forward to working together.

  • Standard Therapy Sessions: $220 (45 minutes/billing code 90834)
  • Initial Appointment: $290 (60 minutes/billing code 90791)

Can I Use My Insurance?

Yes! Many clients successfully use their out-of-network benefits to offset therapy costs. Here’s how:

  • We Provide Superbills: You’ll receive a detailed invoice after each session to submit to your insurance company.
  • Check Your Coverage: Many plans reimburse 50-80% of the session cost. Contact your provider for information about reimbursement rates for out-of-network therapy. Coverage typically depends on your deductible (the amount you must pay before reimbursement begins) and the allowed amount (the maximum your insurer will cover).
  • Use HSA/FSA Funds: You can also pay for therapy using Health Savings Accounts (HSA) or Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). These accounts allow you to use pre-tax dollars for qualifying healthcare expenses, including therapy.
